How we converted a physical event into an interactive digital experience within a one week period

The Mission

In April 2020, Ravel Innovation and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) held their first-ever Digital Demo Day for the inaugural cohort of the Singapore Tourism Accelerator (STA). In response to the COVID-19 turmoil and efforts to maintain social distancing and responsibility, we worked with Ravel Innovation to successfully move the operations of a physical Demo Day online in the short span of a week.

In continuation to the second Demo Day, the second cohort consists of 8 companies selected from 171 applications worldwide, who have piloted their innovative solutions with world-leading businesses within the travel & tourism industry including Singapore Airlines, Shangri-La, Resort World Sentosa, National Heritage Board and others. The Singapore Tourism Accelerator Demo Day was a by-invitation-only event for investors and industry partners who were excited to find out more about the solutions and how they could adopt and identify new business models. We are proud to have worked with Ravel Innovation to programme and produce yet another successful event.

Our Brain Juice Approach

Our Role

  • On-screen visual elements: professional overlays and lower-thirds to highlight the speakers and their designations
  • Picture-in-picture: positioned speakers in a circle at the bottom of slides to maintain engagement during presentations
  • Interactive poll: live rolling collage of ideas for domestic tourism from the audience
  • Professional pitch videos: created a simple brief for independent recordings and edited all final pitch videos for streaming into the Zoom room
